Local Start-Up Mentioned in Forbes
The Sustainable Business Center is putting a feather in their cap after Sitka Salmon Shares was mentioned in the Forbes Magazine's article: Seven Sustainable Foodie Holiday Gifts.

The article features methods holiday shoppers can use to make sure their food ideas are both appreciated and environmentally friendly.

Sitka Salmon Shares was mentioned as the perfect way to meet these goals while shipping your food.

The company is currently in the business incubator at the Sustainable Business Center in Galesburg.

SBC Director Eric Dilts tells WGIL they found out Wednesday night.

"Well we're excited about one of our tenets being featured nationally. So what we'll do is most likely continue to work with Sitka Salmon shares and help them grow their business and help them spread the word about all the wonderful things they're doing. But we also have some other wonderful tenets who are about ready to expand a break out nationally so will just keep the momentum going."

Dilts says they are starting to have some real successes at the SBC and will use the mention to attract new tenants to the SBC location.

He says this will show potential tenants how Galesburg and the SBC can help them grow and implement their ideas.
