| Portion of Road Buckled Near Hill Prison |
POSTED 2:49pm 6/23/09 Galesburg Police are urging motorists to avoid a stretch of U-S Highway 34 after the heat caused the road to buckle. Police officials say the eastbound lanes just west of Henry Hill Correctional Center are temporarily closed due to the buckling. They say if you were to drive over the part of road, it would feel like you hit a huge bump. Police and other officials are on the scene blocking the stretch of road off.
