Work on Galesburg's South Street Overpass
Work on the South Street overpass is scheduled to begin on Friday, November 13. Work is expected to be completed by November 23. One lane of the underpass will be closed at a time and flagger control will be used for traffic flow during that time period. Hours of work will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the roadway will be reopened to traffic at the end of each day. It is expected at this time there will be no need to close the subway entirely to make the needed repairs. (From City of Galesburg)
