|Janet S. Derham, age 70, of Delong, Illinois died at 12:15 P.M. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at her home in Delong, Illinois.
She was born on August 29, 1942 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Merrill and Lola Lawver Dunbar. She attended and graduated from Knoxville High School in Knoxville, Illinois. She married Phillip Eugene Derham on April 17, 1966 in Knoxville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2003.
Surviving is a brother: Ed Dunbar of Peoria, Illinois. One godchild: Taylee Anderson of Tennessee, Illinois. Also survived by many friends and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one infant child.
She worked for the former Bank of Galesburg and Park Drive Dairy as a bookkeeper in Galesburg, Illinois. She was a member of the Knoxville United Methodist Church, and active in the church with the Kitchen and Knoxville Community Food Pantry. Member of the Spoon River Breakers CB Club; TRIAD, the Knoxville Order of Eastern Star #880, and T.O.P.S. She enjoyed her cats and collecting dolls.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois, with a fellowship following from 12:00 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. at the Knoxville United Methodist Church. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Haynes Cemetery in Rural Delong, Illinois. Rev. Dan Lybarger will officiate.
