|Delbur L. McKee, age 84, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 10:33 P.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, Illinois.
He was born Feb. 13, 1929 in Maquon, Illinois the son of Earl and Cleta Hall McKee. He married Mary Ellen Crider on September 14, 1985 in Galesburg, Illinois. She survives of Galesburg, Illinois.
Surviving are two sons: Denny (Linda) McKee of Knoxville, Illinois; Dan (Rose) McKee of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Two daughters: Debra (Brent) Delk of Smyrna, Tennessee; and Dianna (Mike) Johnson of Knoxville, Illinois. One step-son: Henry (Smamara) Crider of Coffeyville, Kansas. Twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two brothers: Don (Mary) McKee of Abingdon, Illinois and Max (Renee) McKee of Killeen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He worked for Maytag and Admirals for 35 years retiring in 1991, he worked on the door-line.
He enjoyed gardening and was proud of his tomatoes. He loved tinkering, and collecting radios and pocketknives.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. John Carlson will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois. Interment will be at the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois.
