|Arthur E. "Bud" Linder, 85, of rural Galesburg, died at 3:48 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born October 23, 1927 in Galesburg the son of Neal and Verda Goddard Linder. He married Phyllis Baker on January 2, 1949 in Galesburg.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of 64 years; a granddaughter, Amy Fasano of Hinsdale, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Cathi Watson of Cameron, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debbie Christenson in 1986; and three sisters.
Bud farmed his whole life. He graduated from Galesburg High School. He was a member of Cameron Christian Church. Bud's greatest loves were his wife, daughter, granddaughter, farming, and snow skiing.
He served in the United States Army during World War II as an MP.
Cremation will be accorded. Memorial service will be noon Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Cameron Christian Church. Rev. Jeff Nielsen and Rev. Paul Lydic will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at a later date at Silent Home Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cameron Christian Church.
