|Jacquelyn M. "Jackie" McGrew, 82, of Gilson, Ill. died at 1:25 pm Monday, July 1, 2013 at her home.
She was born May 29, 1931 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Forrest E. and Mary I. Anderson Nelson. She married Donnie Boyer on November 27, 1948, he preceded her in death on July 13, 1957. She later married Jim McGrew on January 2, 1958 in Abingdon. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Mark (Cindy) Boyer of Knoxville, Ill. and Brian McGrew of Gilson; two daughters, Jan (Don) Hughs of Knoxville and Melanie (John) Cowman of Maquon, Ill.; her brother, Franklin (Gene) Nelson of Galesburg; eight grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael Boyer.
Jackie enjoyed bowling, playing bridge and watching the Cubs.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 am, Friday, July 5, 2013 in Abingdon Cemetery. Dr. Jeff Nelson will officiate. There will be no visitation.
