|Wilma Jean Mastin, age 85, of Knoxville, Illinois passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11:49 A.M. at Seminary Manor in Galesburg, Illinois.
Wilma was born November 23, 1927 in London Mills, Illinois the daughter of Abram and Edna (Darland) Hornback. She graduated from London Mills High School in 1945 and married R. Paul Mastin on June 6, 1948 in Fairview Center, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2003.
Wilma is survived by her three sons; Rolland (Ronna) Mastin of Gilson, Illinois, Wayne (Debbie) Mastin of Knoxville, Illinois and Dean (Teresa) Mastin of Knoxville, Illinois. She is also survived by her sister Roberta Jackson of Denver, Colorado, niece Linda (Paul) Valdez of Denver Colorado and eight Grandchildren and eight Great-Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and one son Tom Mastin.
She attended Western Illinois University and taught at a one room country school. After she married her husband she was a homemaker. She loved her family, especially preparing family dinners and spending time with them.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Sue Bryce will be officiating. Interment will be at the Knoxville, Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville.
