|George B. Fell Jr. 92 of Alpha, Il. died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at home.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha. Burial is in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Kewanee, where Graveside Military Services will be conducted. Visitation is 10:00 AM until time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the AlWood Academic Foundation.

He was born December 15, 1917 in Castleton, Il a son of George and Gertrude Sickles Fell. He graduated from Toulon High School and married Sarah L. Ault January 4, 1941 in Kahoka, MO.
He started his career in farming with his father in the Toulon and later farmed in the Altona and Alpha areas. He was also employed at Gale Products in Galesburg.
George was a World War II Veteran serving in the South Pacific from 1942-1945 with the 112th Calvary R.C.T. He was a faithful participant in the annual reunion of the 112th and was devoted to keeping in touch with his comrades. He was a member of the Oxford American Legion Post.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Sarah; 1 daughter Sally (Rod Standard) Allen of Champaign, Il, 3 sons, Bob (Virginia) Fell and David (Brenda) Fell all of Galesburg, Il, James Fell of Phoenix, AZ , 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, 1 sister and 4 brothers preceded him in death.
