Donald E. Baysinger , 81, of Alpha, Illinois died Sunday January 10, 2010 at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island.
Services are 10:30 AM Friday at Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull. Burial is in Woodhull Cemetery where, Graveside Military Services will be conducted.

He was born August 10, 1928 in Pekin, Illinois a son of Frederick and Henrietta Henrichs Baysinger. He graduated from Green Valley High School and married Geneva DeBoeuf September 20, 1952 in Peoria, Il. She died in 1993.
Don was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #246 in Moline. He was employed as a Refrigeration Engineer for West Side VA Medical Center in Chicago retiring in 1994. Following his wife's death, Don administered a Nursing Scholarship he established in her name.
He was an avid Cub and Packers Fan, enjoyed the annual NASCAR "race trip" and recently collected coins.
Survivors include a daughter, Julie (Don) Bridgewater of Cambridge, Il, 2 sons, Greg (Laura) Baysinger of Carlyle, Il , Jerry (Angela) Baysinger of Bruning, NE, 8 grandchildren, 1 sister Shirley Ary of Chillicothe, Il, 1 brother James Baysinger of Pekin, Il and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, wife, 4 sisters and 4 brothers preceded him in death. |
