Vera M. Sharp, age 81, of Galesburg, Illinois died on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 1:30 A.M. at Rosewood Care Center of Galesburg.
She was born on August 24, 1928 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Clark E. and Kate M. Cook Sharp.
Surviving are:
Sister: Erma (Don) Johnson of Galesburg, Illinois
Several Nieces and Nephews
Preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Wayne Sharp and Russell Sharp
She was raised and educated in Galesburg, Illinois graduating from Galesburg High School. She lived in Galesburg, Illinois all her life.
She worked as a cashier for the former A & P Grocery Store; as an assembler for Gale Products for 17 years and worked for the former Joe the Taylor and Cleaners when she retired.
Cremation Rites will be accorded. She has requested there be no services.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice Compassus of Galesburg, Illinois. Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois in charge of arrangements.
