Donovan A. Finch, 76, of Roseville, IL, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011, at his home. He was born January 10, 1935 in Macomb, IL the son of Kenneth Claude and Hallie Mary Carrico Finch. He married Earlene Griffith on March 14, 1968.
He is survived by his wife; three children Joy (Sam) Baker of Monmouth, IL, Monte Finch (Vera Ann) of Bayside, NY, Nancy (Richard) Stevens of Monmouth, IL; 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren; one brother Gary Finch of Preemption, IL and one sister Diane Harpley of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, and 1 infant grandson.
He lived most of his life in the Roseville Community area. He graduated from Roseville High School and the spent four years in the US Navy. He worked at the Roseville High School for 25 years. He did a refrigeration and air conditioning business for 10 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God House of Prayer in Oquawka, IL. He was a testament to the change God brings to your life, and liked to share that with people.
Graveside service will be Monday January 17, 2011, 2:00 pm at the Haynes Cemetery Delong, IL. There will be no visitation.
