|Violet W. Wadham Hutson, a resident of the Knox County Nursing Home, formerly of Galesburg, died at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 in the nursing home.
She was born December 17, 1926 in Oxford Twp., near Woodhull, Ill., the daughter of Frank Oscar and Emma Matilda Peterson Swanson. She married Robert W. Wadham on July 22, 1946 in Woodhull. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1989. She later married Robert Hutson on July 16, 1999 in Knoxville. He preceded her in death in March 2000.
She is survived by a son, Robert E. (and Gail) Wadham of East Moline, Ill.; a daughter, Judy D. Wadham of Henderson, Ill.; four grandchildren, Michael Roberts, Billy Lewis, Darian Wadham, and Denise Wadham; two great grandchildren, Savannah Wadham and Nicholas Roberts; two brothers, Glen C. Swanson of Woodhull and Marvin H. Swanson of Orion, Ill.; and a special friend, Georgeen Raymond of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.
Violet was a homemaker and caregiver for children and older people. She attended Alpha schools and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Violet was a good Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Private family graveside service will be Monday, January 23, 2012 in Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, New Windsor, Ill. Rev. Robert Franek will officiate. There will be no visitation.
