Anita Jeannett Tulin, age 93, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 5:32 P.M. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois.
She was born on August 26, 1918 in Geneseo, Illinois, the daughter of Roy A. and Macie Rapp Sand. She married James M. Tulin on July 6, 1941 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1988.
Surviving are two sons,Terry J. (Dawn) Tulin of Galesburg, Illinois and Rodney R. (Jean) Tulin of Knoxville, Illinois. Four Grandchildren, Andrew (Christy) Tulin, Aaron (Jesse) Tulin, Abby (Kyle Eickhoff) Tulin, and Adam (Whitney) Tulin. One Great Grandchild, Amanda Tulin. Two Sisters,Ione Lauerman of Galesburg, Illinois and Joyce Hazelton of Lexington, North Carolina. Two Brothers, Daryl Sand of Okemos, Michigan and Keith (Marge) Sand of Galesburg, Illinois. Preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She attended grade school in Geneseo, Illinois and graduated from Galesburg High School in Galesburg, Illinois. She graduated from Brown's Business College in Galesburg, Illinois.
She was a homemaker and worked at Illinois Power Company in Galesburg, Illinois; Galesburg Clinic and Galesburg Research Hospital.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Galesburg, Illinois.
She loved watching sports and most of all the Cubs.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois with Visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg, Illinois.
