|Juanita Doryne Galbreath, age 98, of Knoxville, Illinois died at 8:15 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois.
She was born on October 12, 1914 in Coles County, Illinois the daughter of John Wilbur and Nora Ellen Whitley Carlyle. She married Gerald "Bill" Eugene Galbreath on September 28, 1940 in St. Charles, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1967.
Surviving is a daughter: Debra Ann Galbreath of Knoxville, Illinois; two sons: Jerry Dean (Toni) Galbreath of Carlsbad, California and Mark Eugene (Lydia) Galbreath of San Antonia, Texas. One daughter-in-law: Sue Galbreath of Winterville, North Carolina. Nine grandchildren: Richard, Michael, Cristi, Gabriel, Travis, Eric, Karen, Andy, Bob; and Eleven great grandchildren: Shawn, Danny, Tony, Quintin, Addie, Collin, Levi, Renee, Nicole, Atlee and Parker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son Richard, 3 brothers Harry, Dutch, Wayne and 1 sister Marie.
Juanita enjoyed traveling, reading, watching cardinals, lighthouses, doing puzzles, and she was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She loved her grandkids and Illinois sports.
Visitation will take place Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois. The Funeral Service will be Monday, January 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville. Rev. Michel D. Clark will be officiating. Interment will take place on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon, Illinois.
