Carr, Robert Lee
Robert Lee Carr, age 60, of East Galesburg, Illinois died at 10:55 PM on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born on April 30, 1952 in Bloomington, Illinois the son of Francis M. and Marilyn Watters Carr. He attended and graduated from R.O.V.A. High School in 1971. He married Beverly Orme Derham on August 8, 1991 in Galesburg, Illinois. She survives of East Galesburg, Illinois.

Surviving are his step children: Jonathan Orme of Galesburg, Illinois and Justin Derham of Galesburg, Illinois. Step grandchildren: Austyn, Drake and Zachary Derham; Renee Thomas; Blake Orme; Trey Randolph; and one loving expected little boy on the way. Two sisters: Mary (Mike Taylor) Stroops of Abingdon, Illinois and Annie (Bil) Lewis of Galesburg, Illinois. Sisters-in-law: Patricia Cummings of Saybrook, Illinois; Janet Waller of Galesburg, Illinois; and Sandra (Jack) Hartman of Knoxville, Illinois. One special friend: Darrel Vinson of Goodfield, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Eugene Cummings.

He worked for the BNSF Railroad as a Section Foreman for 12 years, then he started his own painting and lawn services working in the Knox County area and apartment maintenance. He enjoyed visiting and having coffee with his friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Milton Marquith will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Entombment will be held at a later date at the Williamsfield Cemetery, Williamsfield, Illinois. In-lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the East Galesburg Community Chapel or to the Family. A Fellowship will be held at the East Galesburg Community Chapel in East Galesburg, following the services at the funeral home.
