|Marlow E. Forseth, 94, of New Windsor, IL, died Friday, February 5, 2010 at Courtyard Estates in Kewanee, IL. Services are 1:30 PM Monday at the New Windsor Presbyterian Church. Burial is in the New Windsor Cemetery where graveside Military services will be conducted. Visitation is from Noon until time of services Monday at the church where memorials may be left to the New Windsor Presbyterian Church, George Norris American Legion Post # 484 or New Windsor Cemetery Association. He was born November 6, 1915 in Sherman S.D. a son of Alfred and Florence Brazzell Forseth. He graduated from Sioux Falls High School and attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls. On July 2, 1942 he married Vonda A. Roquet in Woodhull. She died November 23, 2008.
Marlow worked with his father at the Tip Top Cleaning service prior his enlistment in the U.S. Army. He served in WW 2 from 1941 to 1946 in Paris. After his discharge he owned and operated his own Interior decorating and sign painting business for many years in New Windsor.
He was a member of the New Windsor Presbyterian Church and the George Norris American Legion Post # 484. He enjoyed being in his shop where he did fine art painting, woodworking, and crafts.
He is survived by two daughters Melanie (Roger) Johnston of Kewanee, IL and Deborah (Gary) Beckerle of St. Charles, MO; 5 grandchildren Bruce (Judy) Johnston of Quincy, IL, Kevin (Meggan) Johnston of Greencastle, IN, Erica (Jim) Huneke of Quincy, IL, Aarin Beckerle of Lexington, KY and Bradon Beckerle of St. Louis, MO; 6 great grandchildren Bethany, Sydney, and Aubrey Johnston of Quincy, IL, Daniel and William Johnston of Greencastle, IN and Owen Huneke of Quincy, IL; a sister, Darlene (Max) Lutrell of Surprize, AZ. His parents, wife and 1 sister Delores
Anderson preceded him in death.
