Paul, Ada May
Ada May Paul, 91, of Alpha, IL died Thursday February 18, 2010 at the Mercer County Nursing Home in Aledo.

Services are 10:30 AM Monday at the Alpha United Methodist Church. Burial is in the Bushnell Cemetery in Bushnell, IL. Visitation is from 2 - 4 PM Sunday at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha where memorials may be left to the Alpha United Methodist Church or the AlWood Food Pantry. She was born September 16, 1918 in Burlington, Iowa to Ralph and Maureen Eastman Wilson. She graduated from Bushnell High School in 1935 and married H. Leland Paul August 4, 1938 in Bushnell. He died March 23, 2001

Ada and Leland owned Paul's Hi-Way Market in Alpha for 11 years. She later worked at Bergner's Department Store in Galesburg retiring in 1983.

Her memberships include the Alpha United Methodist Church where she was active in the Women's Association and the Alpha Mobile Meals where she served on the Board. She enjoyed collecting Bells and made patchwork quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter Karen (Jim) Evans of Bushnell, Il, 2 sons Bruce (Betty) Paul of Aledo, Charles and Susan Paul of Alpha, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren 1 great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband and 3 sisters preceded her in death.
