|Anna K. Walker, 73, of Galesburg, died at 12:20 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 in OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
She was born March 8, 1937 in Abingdon, Ill. the daughter of Alvin and Bessie Jones Elwood. She married Homer Eugene Walker on August 7, 1967 in Carson City, Nev. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1994.
She is survived by two sons, Chuck (and Peggy) Powell of Knoxville, Ill. and Clint Walker of Missouri, a daughter, Bessie (and Terry Davis) Jackson of Monmouth, Ill., seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two sisters, Luella Blucker of Wataga, Ill. and Joyce Lawrence of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Anna worked on the line at Maytag for 27 years and was also a waitress for over 40 years at New China Café. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Knoxville Cemetery. Rev. Daniel Siems will officiate. Visitation will be 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
