Linda Bastow, 54, Galesburg, died on February 3, 2012 at Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg.
Linda was born August 12, 1957 to Kenneth and Delores Bastow. She is survived by her Trulson House family, friends from KCCDD and St. Mary Square.
Although Linda had no formal education, she was a great teacher. Through her exuberant personality, she was able to demonstrate the meaning of living joyfully in each moment, showing kindness to all, and never knowing a stranger. Linda was that special someone who had a hug in her heart for everyone. She loved music; was an outstanding dancer, singer and performer. She enjoyed latchhooks, Special Olympics, and traveling. Linda was Catholic and a member of SPEC.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Watson Funeral Home. Deacon Jim Haneghan will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Watson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the residents' fund at Trulson House. |
