|Charles D. Hall, 77, of Galesburg, died at 11:10 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Rosewood Care Center.
He was born October 26, 1934 in Stockport, Iowa the son of Roscoe and Margaret Radestock Hall. He married Barbara A. Anderson on August 4, 1954 in Galesburg.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; three sons, Michael (and Barbara) Hall of Phoenix, Ariz., Robert Hall of Galesburg, and Randy (and Patty) Hall of Gladstone, Mo.; a daughter, Cindy (and Gary) Savage of Galesburg; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard (and Chris) Hall of Altona and Cecil (and Karen) Hall of Missoula, Mont. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Charles was a leadman for the Admiral Corporation for 40 years, retiring in 1993. He also had worked for Lacky Monuments for several years. Charles had lived in Galesburg since 1941 and attended Galesburg schools. Charles had been a scout leader and was a member of R.E.A.C.T. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, family camping trips, watching westerns, and spending time with his grandkids.
Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. Deacon Rod Gray will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OSF Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
