|Donald G. Crose, 52, of Galesburg, died at 10:11 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 in the emergency room of Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born August 10, 1959 in Aledo, Ill., the son of Warren Leroy and C. Marlene (Palmer) Crose.
He is survived by his mother, C. Marlene Johnson of Abingdon, Ill.; two sons, Warren Michael Crose and Cameron Keith Crose, both of Galesburg; a brother, David L. (and Brenda) Crose of Abingdon; and two sisters, Debra (and Brian) Lenning of Orion, Ill. and Cathy (and Dennis) Ackman of East Galesburg, Ill. Don was also anticipating the birth of his first granddaughter, due later this month. He was preceded in death by his father.
Don was a plumbing and heating inspector for the city of Galesburg for 28 years. He graduated from Alexis High School in 1977. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Don was an avid photographer, mainly using wild life and sports games as his subject. He had been an assistant little league baseball coach for several years in Galesburg, starting when his boys were in tee ball.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Ron Scarlett will officiate. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral. Celebration of Don's life will continue after the funeral on Friday at McGillacuddy's.
