|Patricia A. Walker, 77, 108 S. State St., Henderson, Ill., died at 11:37 a.m., Sunday, March 14, 2010 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born November 1, 1932 in Woodruff, Ariz., the daughter of Ralph R. and Margaret Stewart Courtright, Sr. She married Richard D. Walker on December 24, 1955 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1992.
She is survived by two sons, David (and Yvonne) Walker of Galesburg and Steven (and Amy) Walker of Rockford, Ill., two daughters, Beth (and Vern) Bergren of Henderson and Jane Lanier of Galesburg, nine grandchildren Matthew and Brian Tucker, Amanda Pedersen, Jake, Eric, Rachel, Zak, Josh and Seth Walker and three great grandchildren Alijah, Braiden and Reid and six step great grandchildren Kenny, Jackson, Anders, Lars, Phillip and Ciara, and a brother, Gene (and Grace) Courtright of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
She worked for the former Harris Cleaning for many years. Patricia later worked at Econofoods in Galesburg for five years. She volunteered at the Purple Hanger Shop. She loved to fish. She moved to Galesburg at the age of 10 and graduated from Galesburg High School in 1950.
Cremation will be accorded. Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 18, 2010 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Milton Marquith will officiate. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will follow in East Linwood Cemetery.
