Francis Eileen Nemeth, 72, of Galesburg, died at 12:05 p.m. on Sunday February 28, 2010 in Galesburg.
Francis was born on June 10, 1937 in Galesburg, the daughter of Fred and Lucille Willett Olson. Francis married Ernie Peterson on January 22, 1956. He preceded her in death in November of 1958. She then married Phillip "Bud" Nemeth on December 28, 1959. Bud preceded Francis in death on August 1, 2008.
Surviving Francis is her 4 sons, Rick, Bob, Steve (and Becky), and Mark Nemeth all of Galesburg. Also surviving is 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Haynes.
Francis worked in Galesburg for many years at Admiral, Knox Manor Nursing Home, Butler Mfg., and last worked at St. Mary's Square. She retired in 2000. Francis was a devoted member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She loved her family and animals. Francis enjoyed going to the boat and was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan.
A funeral mass for Francis will be 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday March 3, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Rev. William Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 12 to 1p.m. on Wednesday at Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
