Joyce M. Williams, age 78, of Knoxville, Illinois died on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 11:17 P.M. at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois.
She was born on July 14, 1931 in Plattsburgh, New York, the daughter of Hermas and Margaret Signor Rabideau.
She married Hillburn "Willie" Williams on august 19, 1851 in St. Peter's Catholic Church in Plattsburgh, New York.
He preceded her in death on June 22, 2008.
Surviving are:
Daughter: Janet (Joseph) Tucker of Knoxville, Illinois.
Sons: Robert H. (Marilyn) Williams of Mooers, New York, Steven M. (Cindy) Williams of Plattsburgh, New York
Two Grandchildren: Jason W. Williams and Ryan K. (Katie) Williams
Sisters: Edna Sorrell of Plattsburgh, New York, Barbara Willitte of Mooers, New York, Jane Trombley of Plattsburgh, New York
Numerous Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters
She was raised and educated in the Plattsburgh, New York area.
She became a nun in the Dominican Order in 1948 until 1951.
She was a housewife and enjoyed bingo and slot machines.
Cremation Rites will be accorded. There will be no services. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois in charge of arrangements.
