Lily "Edith" Johnson , 83 , of Galesburg, Il . died Wednesday March 31, 2010 at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg.
Services are 11:30 AM Saturday at Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull. Burial is in the Alpha cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 AM until time of services

She was born July 4, 1926 in Sparta, Il a daughter of Samuel and Lily Blunt Smart. She graduated from Sparta High School and married William "Lyle" Johnson on November 10, 1956 in Sparta.
Edith was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Easter Star. She loved to travel, camp and fish and she enjoyed reading, cooking and taking part in her grandchildrens' activities.
Survivors include her husband, Lyle, 2 daughters, Linda Gordon of Port Angeles, WA, Kris (Lynn) Pease of Alexis, Il, 4 sons, Rick (Brenda) Vanover of Fayetteville, Il, Randy Vanover of Port Orchard, WA, Darrell Johnson of Woodhull, Mike Johnson of Bellville, Il, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 sister , Bea Shoemaker of Dixon, Il, 1 brother Sam Smart of Sparta, Il and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 2 sisters preceded
