Gustine, Nancy Ann
Nancy Ann Gustine, 76, 998 Northwood Drive, Galesburg, died at 8 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville.

She was born September 24, 1933 in Galesburg, the daughter of John William and Edythe Nelson Carlson. She married Delbert Jordan on September 17, 1955 in the Covenant Church in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1978. She married Frank Gustine on August 20, 1979 on Lincoln Peak in Glacier National Park. He survives.

Also surviving is a son, John W. (and Linda) Jordan of El Dorado Hills, Calif., a step son, Gerald (and Lori) Gustine of Colorado Springs, Colo., two grandchildren, Linnea Jordan and Erik Jordan, and three step grandchildren, Allana Gustine, Jeremy Gustine and Stephanie Gustine. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step son, Franklin "Reddy" Gustine.

Nancy was a lifelong homemaker. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1951 and Northpark College in 1953. She was a member of the Covenant Church, where she served on the Board of Deacons, was a youth counselor, and a member of the Ruth Circle. She did mission work in Honduras. Nancy enjoyed traveling and had been to Eluthera in the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, Spain, Mexico, and Canada. Nancy served as president of the Nellie Swanson PTA and was a member of the Republican Women. She was golf champion at Lake Bracken Country Club in 1963. Nancy owned and enjoyed horses. She had lived in Galesburg her entire life.

Cremation will be accorded. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 in the Covenant Church. Rev. Thomas Ek and Rev. Marilyn Anell will officiate. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Covenant Church, the American Red Cross or a charity of the donor's choice. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
