JERRY G. JOHNSON, 80, died peacefully, surrounded by his wife and daughter on Thursday, March 3, 2011. He was born on September 6, 1930 in Shadyside, Ohio, the fourth child of Robert and Cora Johnson. He married Donna Jean Felici on November 22, 1962 in Wheeling, West Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; his duaghter, Jeralyn Rehn; his son-in-law, John Rehn; and his three precious grandchildren: Jensen, Tegan and John Jace, all of Galesburg. Jerry was a proud veteran of the Air Force and liked to reminisce about his stay in Baffin Island, Canada during the Korean War. He graduated from West Liberty University in West Liberty, West Virginia. He taught American History for many years at Mentor High School in Ohio and enjoyed coaching and helping with school sports. He was an avid reader and enjoyed his daily crossword puzzle. He retires undefeated in Trivial Pursuit. "Pappy" as he was affectionately called, will be deeply missed by his family.
