|Larry W. Johnson, 54, of Little York, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at his home.
He was born July 26, 1956 at Iowa City, IA, the son of Fred and Bonna (Parrish) Johnson. He was raised and educated in Little York where he graduated from Yorkwood High School in 1975.
He married Jena Raye Wakeland in Monmouth.
He had worked at Wilson Foods Plant in Monmouth, Admirals in Galesburg and had been a forklift driver in Enid, Oklahoma. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, his home and family.
His family includes one daughter, Christina B. Johnson of the Quad Cities, one son Johnathan Johnson of Little York, his father and mother, Fred and Bonna Johnson of Little York, one sister Janice M. (Greg) Hamberg of Little York and one brother, Ronald L. (Jeanine) Johnson of Eldon, MO along with nieces and nephews.
His grandparents, Jess and Marjorie Parrish and Einar and Hilda Johnson, preceded him in death
Funeral services will be 11:00 Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Pastor David Dutton of Cedar Creek Presbyterian Church, Little York. Burial will be in Little York Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel where his family will be present to receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
