ROBERT J. GUSTAFSON, SR, age 81, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 5:52 A.M. on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois.
He was born on February 4, 1930 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of William and Anna Knutson Gustafson.
He married Judy Stomberg on August 28, 1951 in Galesburg, Illinois.
She preceded him in death on July 26, 2009.

Sister: Lois Gustafson of Galesburg, Illinois
Preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother; one sister; one daughter:
Julia Anne Fancher and one grandson
He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1947. He worked as a carman for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 44 years, retiring February 5, 1991. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Knoxville, Illinois and the UTU Union.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Michel D. Clark officiating. There will be no Visitation.
