|Alice L. Dickinson, 86, of 2245 N. Seminary St., Galesburg died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Cottage Hospital.
She was born January 20, 1926 in Oneida, Ill. the daughter of Glenn and Retah Voorhees Wilmot. She married Robert Milroy. He preceded her in death. She later married Kenneth M. Dickinson on April 2, 1970 in Galesburg. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sue (Alan) Indelicato of Galesburg, Becky (Tom) Campbell of Galesburg and Ginger (Paul) Mathews of DeSoto, Mo.; two brothers, Don Libby of Oneida, Ill. and Ron Wilmot of N.M.; four sisters, Lucille Yeast of Galesburg, Rachel Bivens of Galesburg, Edith Sells of Unionville, Mo. and Isabelle Wenzel of Galesburg, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, her son, Terry R. Milroy, a step son, her brother and four sisters.
She was the executive housekeeper for Cottage Hospital for 15 years and also for the former Sheridan/Jumers Hotel for 15 years. Alice was an avid bowler, participating in the Ladies Classis League, the Mixed League and the 600 Series Club.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Tom Ek will officiate. There will be no visitation.
