|Bradley Kincaid Schisler, age 82 of Abingdon, died at 4:50 pm Friday, March 23, 2012 at OSF S. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 28, 1929 near London Mills, the son of Homer P. and Nada (Mitchell) Schisler. He married Patsy J. McDorman on June 7, 1952 in Galesburg.
Bradley is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patsy; three daughters, Bronlyn Kay (and Michael) Melton of Abingdon, Teresa J. Schisler of Abingdon, and Maleta (and Kevin) Garland of Kankakee; two grandchildren, Bradley and Megan Melton; three brothers, Robert (and Velma) Schisler of Jacksonville, Don (and Darlene) Schisler of Abingdon and JR (and Sandra) Schisler of Michigan; two sisters, Muriel Derry of Abingdon and Betty (and Elmer) Sickles of Abingdon; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. He is also survived by the kids and grandkids of his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
He had lived in the London Mills and Abingdon areas all of his life and attended Abingdon schools. He worked at the former Outboard Marine Corporation in Galesburg for 35 1/2 years. His hobbies included fishing and doing anything in the great outdoors. He was a member of farmville on facebook. He also helped his girls in their businesses.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Rev. Rick Smith and Mrs. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at chapel.
