Paul H. Huse, 88, of Alpha, Il. died Thursday April 15, 2010 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.
A Celebration of Life service will be 7:00 PM Monday at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville, Il where military services will be conducted.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Monday Prior to services at the funeral home where a memorial fund will be established. Online condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknox.com.
He was born June 18, 1921 in Edwardsville, Il. a son of Herman and Verna Metzger Huse. He attended the local schools and married Virginia D. Austin October 2, 1943 in Indian Town Gap, PA.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW 2 and was employed for several years as a Supervisor at the Alpha F.S Inc. retiring in 1983.
Paul enjoyed woodworking in his Cabinet shop and painting.
Survivors include a grandson, Nathan Huse of Alpha, Il, step-grandson, Anthony Woodard , 2 step-great grandchildren Megan and Serena Woodard all of Eufaula, OK, former daughter-in-law Kathie (Ron) Murray of Omaha, NE, and a sister Ruth Huse of Edwardsville, Il.
His parents, wife and son Larry preceded him in death. |
