Lewis B. Walker, age 72, of Galesburg, Illinois formerly of Knoxville, Illinois died on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg, Illinois.
He was born October 24, 1937 in Knoxville, Illinois, the son of Oscar and Nina Davis Walker. He married Carol Lee Jacobs on April 1, 1956 in Galesburg, Illinois.
She preceded him in death on December 31, 2007.

Daughters: LuCinda (Gary) Hensley of Knoxville, Illinois, Lisa (Ted) Ruetz of Knoxville, Illinois and Starla (Mike) Sebben of Knoxville, Illinois
Son: Clint L. (Stacey) Walker of Antioch, Tennessee
Grandchildren: Racheal Hensley, Clint (Kelly) Hensley, Michelle (Mike) McClay, Kristopher Ruetz, Allie Walker, Dylan Sebben and Delaney Sebben
Great Grandchildren: Devan, Kaily, Colton, Cain, Kellen, Kailann and Nolan
Sisters: Ruby Conces of Galesburg, Illinois, Elly (Gary) Pittman of Bakersfield, California and Appie (John) Roberts of Yucaipa, California
Brothers: Jim (Cathy) Walker of Hanna City, Illinois, Joe Walker of Delong, Illinois and Mike (Pam) Walker of Bakersfield, California
Preceded in death by his parents and wife.
He was raised and educated in Knoxville, Illinois graduating from Knoxville High School in 1955. He worked in law enforcement most of his life and operated K-9 Creations Dog Grooming in Galesburg, Illinois.
He was a member of the East Galesburg Community Chapel.
He was a member of the Illinois National Guard and was past president of Knox County Coon Hunter Club. He enjoyed hunting, raising coon dogs and horses.
Cremation Rites will be accorded.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at the East Galesburg Community Chapel in East Galesburg, Illinois with fellowship immediately following at the church. Rev. Milton Marquith officiating. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be held in Knoxville Cemetery at a later date.
