|Jeffrey L. Brown, 24, of Knoxville and formerly of Abingdon died Monday morning, April 19, 2010, at the scene of an accident near 933 Knox Highway 8, south of Knoxville.
He was born on June 1, 1985 in Galesburg to Danny L. and Deanna (Holeman) Brown.
Jeff is survived by his fiance, Jeannie Ennis of Knoxville; one son, Dalton Brown; one stepdaughter, Brittany Ennis; his mother, Deanna (and Bill) Stokes of Galesburg; his father, Danny L. Brown of Galesburg; one sister, Jennifer Brown of Galesburg; one brother, Jacob Tinkham of South Carolina; three stepbrothers, Jacob, Joey & Justin Stokes all of Galesburg; his grandparents, Patsy and Ed Glisan of Abingdon, Keith and Shirley Brown of Hermon; one niece, several aunts, uncles and cousins. A great part of his childhood was spent with his step-dad, Dave Tinkham who now resides in South Carolina, whom he loved and respected.
He grew up in Abingdon and graduated from Abingdon High School in 2003. He currently worked for Premium Seed Company near Berwick. His hobbies included fishing, mushrooming, going to the riverboat, playing baseball and basketball and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Abingdon United Methodist Church. Rev. Paul Dinges and Mrs. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel.
