Carlson, M. Dale
M. Dale Carlson, 88, of Roseville, IL died at 11:15 P.M. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Roseville Country Manor, Roseville.

He was born Sept. 24, 1921 in Mercer Co. Il. the son of Arthur C. and Mabel D. (Blick) Carlson. He was raised and educated in Alexis, graduating from Alexis High School in 1940.

Dale married Carol L. Osborn at the First Lutheran Church in Monmouth on January 24, 1948 and she died July 7, 2009.

Dale farmed his entire life, first in the Kirkwood area then in 1954 he moved to Roseville and farmed until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and attending their many activities. He also enjoyed watching baseball, playing horseshoes and playing cards in several different card clubs.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Monmouth and the Warren County Farm Service.

Survivors include his two sons, Robert E. (LaJune) Carlson of Roseville and Rudy D. (Joyce) Carlson of Brimfield, IL, 5 grandchildren: Tony (Charlotte) Carlson of Roseville, Chad (Jill) Carlson of Monmouth, Corey (Genet) Carlson of Las Vegas, NV, Kyle (Karen) Carlson of Aurora, CO and Kelly (Joey) Mohr of Beaverton, OR; 6 great grandchildren; one brother Lester (Connie) Carlson of Oneida, IL and one sister, Glennis Eyler of Monmouth; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Gerald Carlson and one brother in law, Dick Eyler.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. Keith Killinger of the First Lutheran Church of Monmouth officiating. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. Friends may call Friday, April 23, 2010 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where his family will be present from 5:00-7:00 P.M.
