William Henry Sands 65 of Roseville, IL passed away Tuesday April 20, 2010 at the Iowa Veterans Home Marshalltown, IA.
He was born October 2, 1944 in Swan Creek, IL the son of Henry Dale and Irma Braselton Sands.
He is survived by his mother Irma Sands of Bloomington, IL; one son Joseph Dale Sands of Knoxville, IL; two brothers Larry (Anita) Sands of Towanda, IL and Joseph (Marie) Sands of Red Feather Lakes of CO; one sister Anita (Bob) Liggett and one uncle Don (Maxine) Braselton. He was preceded in death by his father.
William was born and raised in Swan Creek, IL. He graduated Roseville High School and later graduated Michigan State University. He served in the U.S. Army. He most recently resided in Marshalltown, IA Iowa Veterans Home.
Graveside service will be Friday April 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Roseville Township Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm at the Swan Creek United Methodist Church following the graveside.
