|Terrance Walter "Terry" Winters, 61, 935 Mulberry St., Galesburg, died at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
He was born October 11, 1948 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Leo and Jewel Poulson Winters. He married Jeanette S. Sage on January 15, 1973.
He is survived by his parents, Leo and Jewel of Galesburg, three sons, Robert Winters of Galesburg, Walter (and Jennifer) Winters of North Carolina, and Geordan Winters of Monmouth, two daughters, Tera Marshall and Mirranda Ballard, both of Galesburg, four granddaughters, three grandsons, a step granddaughter, two brothers, Paul (and Debbie) Winters of Stronghurst, IL. and Robert (and Joyce) Winters of Hendersonville, TN, a sister, Mary (and Steve) Goodwin of Cameron, IL., and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by two infant brothers, William and John David.
Terry worked in maintenance at Gale Products, Farmland, and Maytag. He graduated from Monmouth High School in 1966 and attended Carl Sandburg College. Terry was of the Christian faith. He was an Eagle Scout, and avid gardener and a member of the HIV Task Force of Western Illinois.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation.
