Robert Wayne Mason, age 61, of Knoxville, Illinois died on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 7:12 A.M. at his home.
He was born on July 12, 1948 in Avon, Illinois, the son of Wayne Edward and Martha Jane Wallis Mason.
He married Delores Ostrander on June 21, 1967 in Galesburg, Illinois. She survives of Knoxville, Illinois.

Sons: David Robert (Charlotte Haley) Mason of Burlington, Iowa, Howard Joe Mason of Monmouth, Illinois and Scott Adam (Elizabeth Asbury) Mason of Knoxville Illinois
Grandchildren: Justin, Anthony, Samantha, Brittany, Joseph, Cody and Carter
Great Grandchild: Dillan Mason
Sisters: Linda (Jerry) Roberts of Roseville, Illinois and Donna (Dale) Bollin of Alexis, Illinois
Brothers: Keith (Ellen) Mason of Highland, Florida and Richard (Ginger) Mason of Avon, Illinois
Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Sandra and Loretta
He was raised and educated in the Green Bush, Illinois area and graduated from Avon High School in 1966.
He served in the Army National Guard and the Reserves from November 21, 1966 until June 1, 1967.
He worked at Admiral Corporation, CB & Q Railroad, Butler Manufacturing and maintenance department at Cottage Hospital for 23 years. He was a licensed plumber.
He was a member of the Christian Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. Suzie Geer officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 30, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois.
Burial in Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville, Illinois.
