Thomas D. Taylor, age 63, of Abingdon, Illinois died at 11:00 P.M. on Monday, April 4, 2011 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois.
He was born on October 15, 1947 in Canton, Illinois, the son of Lawrence and Ruby Bybee Taylor. He married Patricia Ann Sutton on January 16, 1976 in Canton, Illinois.
She survives of Abingdon, Illinois. Also surviving are: Daughter: Kristina (Keith) Gray of Delong, Illinois Sons: William (Roberta) Taylor of Delong, Illinois, John (Denise) Taylor of Knoxville, Illinois Grandchildren: Erica Taylor, Justin Taylor, James Mason, Joseph Mason, Cassandra Borber, Timothy Lumberry, Travis Lumberry and Nicholas Lumberry Great Granddaughter: Syri Main Sister: Marjorie Taylor of Knoxville, Illinois
Preceded in death by his parents; one grandson: Michael Taylor and one granddaughter: Noelle Lumberry
He graduated from Yates City High School in 1965 and graduated from Spoon River College with an Associate Degree in Mechanics.
He was a farmer in the Abingdon area and ran the PA & MA County Store in Abingdon, Illinois. From 1997 to 1998 he ran the Udderly Sweet Bakery in Canton, Illinois.
He attended the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Galesburg, Illinois. He was a former member of the Rural Youth of America and enjoyed gardening.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois with Visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. Rev. Bob Malone officiating.
