|Neal H. Streeter, 90, of New Windsor, Il died Wednesday April 6, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island. Services are 10:30 Am Saturday at New Windsor Presbyterian Church . Burial is in the New Windsor Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 PM Friday at the Church where memorials may be left to the New Windsor Cemetery or the Tri-County Ambulance Service. He was born April 19, 1920 at the Fork of Bow and High River in Alberta, Canada to Ralph and Glencoe Wilson Streeter. He married Anna A. Fassett September 27, 1941 in Reynolds, Il.
Neal farmed and raised cattle all of his life in the New Windsor area retiring in 1987. He became a member of the New Windsor Telephone Company in 1946 and was instrumental in keeping the telephone company local. He became President of the New Windsor Telephone Company and remained in that capacity for over 60 years.
He was a member of the New Windsor Presbyterian Church and the Mercer County Soil and Water Conservation District. He loved to Hunt and was a Lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, a charter member of the Rivoli Rifle and Pistol Club and a former member of the Twin Rife and Pistol Club of Galesburg.
Surviviors include his wife, Anna, 1 son, Ronald (Julietta) Streeter of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 1 grandson, A.J. (Anna) Streeter of Cambridge, Il, a great granddaughter, Savannah of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.
