Mrs. Sheila E. Babcock, 61, of Galesburg died at 12:36 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
She was born May 21, 1949 in Drakesboro, Ky., the daughter of James and Marjorie Hardison Harper. She married William H. Babcock, JR. on August 30, 1978 in Springfield, Tenn. He survives.
Also surviving are four sons; Raymond C. Babcock of Galesburg, Billy G. (Patricia) Babcock of Bowen, Ill., James Babcock and Joshua Mulkey both of Galesburg; two daughters, Sheila Ann (Carl) Farris of Augusta, Ill and Mary Beth (Michael) Smith of New Windsor, Ill; a brother, Jimmy Harper of Greenbrier, Tenn., a half brother and three half sisters, and seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Sheila worked for Whitick International Corporation for 5 years. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to play bingo.
A visitation celebrating the Life of Sheila will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Wednesday April 20, 2011 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Cremation will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
