Lindrothe, James C.
James C. Lindrothe, 67, of Galesburg, died at 2:02 a.m. Saturday April 2, 2011 at his home.He was born May 23, 1943 in Aurora, Ill. the son of Harold C. and Ruth A. White Lindrothe. He married Sharon Drake in Aurora on December 21, 1968.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara Kae (and Barb Mead) Welch of Pekin, Ill.; a sister, Ruth Ann (Ed) Grey of Arvada, Colo. and two granddaughters, Abigail Welch and Colleen Day. He is preceded in death by his parents.

James served in the US Navy Reserves for two years, later serving in the Navy for three years during the Vietnam War and then returning to the Navy Reserves for another three years.

He worked as a custodial supervisor for Carl Sandburg College for 11 years and then a bus driver for the City of Galesburg for 8 years. He graduated from East Aurora High School in 1961 and received an associates degree in 1997 from Carl Sandburg College. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #2257, the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285, the National Rifle Association, former member of the Masonic Lodge and the Lions Club.

Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
