Hendricks, Mary A.
Mary A. Hendricks, age 84 of Knoxville, Illinois, died on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:27pm at the Knox County Nursing Home.

She was born on August 18, 1927 in Victoria, Illinois the daughter of Frank Clifford and Vesta Irene Bothwell-Clifford, until 1952 when Vesta married Gary Goudschaal. She attended and graduated from Victoria High School and also attended Browns Business College. She married Dave Hendricks on June 19, 1946 in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1979.

Surviving is two daughters, Mary Sue (Robert) Atkinson of Blue Springs, Missouri and Linda (Dennis) Fredrickson of Rural Victoria, Illinois. Four Grandchildren: Angela (Rodney) King, Michael Fredrickson, Robert (April) Atkinson, and Heather Atkinson. Four great grandchildren, Emily King, Owen, Sullivan, and Annabel Atkinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, David Lee, two brothers, Frank and George Clifford.

She farmed with her husband until his death in 1979. She also did in home Dutch Maid Fashion parties. Then, she worked as a personnel manager for K-Mart in Galesburg, Illinois for 10 years retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Galesburg, Illinois. When living in Henderson she was active in the Knox County Home Extension and Henderson Fire Department Auxiliary.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Community of Christ Church at 405 North Pleasant St., Galesburg, Illinois. Heather Atkinson Officiating. There will be no visitation. In-Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or the Knox County Nursing Home. The Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois is assisting the family with arrangements. On-line condolences or sympathy cards may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
