Carol J. Johnson, 85, of Roseville, IL passed away Sunday April 1, 2012 9:47 pm at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

She was born on July 18, 1926, in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Owen Hunter and Alta Jane Adkisson Conlon. She married William J. Johnson on September 26, 1947; he survives of Roseville, IL. She is survived by eight children Leigh Anne Hunter of Las Vegas, NV, Bill (Wanda) Johnson of Monmouth, IL, Cindy (Ken) Johnson of Macomb, IL, Cathy (Kris) Lescher of Macomb, IL, Steve Johnson of Mt Sterling, IL, Scott Johnson of East Peoria, IL, Marty (Nancy) Johnson of Tennessee, IL, and Lyn Johnson of Galesburg, IL; 11 grandchildren Jason Hunter, Nick Hunter, Matt Johnson, Megan Jones, Kevin Johnson, Tracey Mowen, Randy Mowen, Doug Lescher, Brandi Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Dylan Johnson; 9 great grandchildren; one brother John Conlon of South Bend, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son (Donald) 1 grandson (Mark).

Carol was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and she baked just about any recipe she could find. Her true passion and love was dancing with her husband. There was nothing that gave her children more joy than watching their parents dance. Her eyes would sparkle whenever the grandkids and great grandkids would come to visit.

Funeral service will be Friday April 6, 2012 10:00 am at the Corman Memorial Home Roseville, IL. Family will receive friends Thursday eve April 5, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Corman Memorial Home Roseville, IL. Burial will be in the Monmouth Cemetery Monmouth, IL. Memorials may be made to the Roseville branch of the Warren County Library or the Roseville Community Center. Please sign the online guestbook at www.cormanmh.com.
