|Anona J. "Nona" Clark, age 86, of Rural Victoria, Illinois died at 5:28 A.M. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Galesburg, Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, Illinois.
She was born on April 26, 1925 in Wahoo, Nebraska, the daughter of Enoch and Helga Sableman Olson. She married Wendell R. Clark on June 4, 1951 in Seattle, Washington. He survives of rural Victoria, Illinois.
Surviving is a daughter, Natalie (David) Crittenden of Rochester, New York. One son, John (Mary) Clark, of Victoria, Illinois. Four grandchildren: James, Anjay, Jason Clark and Evan Crittenden. One great grandchild. One brother, Dana Mark (Jody) Olson of Pocatello, Idaho. Her parents and two sisters, Elsa Jane and Natalie, preceded her in death.
She attended the University of Denver in 1948, then, she received her Masters of Education in 1978. She taught school in Carmel, California in the 1940's; then at ROVA School District in the 1950's; and finally she taught at the Williamsfield School District from 1963 until she retired in 1983.
She was a member of the Victoria United Methodist Church in Victoria, Illinois and the Knox County Retired Teachers.
Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at the Victoria United Methodist Church in Victoria, Illinois. Rev. Russ Theobald officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 until time of service on Sunday. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Victoria United Methodist Church in Victoria, Illinois.
