Knott, Brian R.
Brian R. Knott, 64, of Galesburg, died at 11:30 am Sunday April, 7th 2013 in Seminary Manor.

He was born September 2, 1948 in Galesburg Ill, son of Donald R. and Edwina B. Kent Knott.

He married Frankie D Wall on May 17, 1975 in Cameron, Ill.

He is survived by his wife Frankie; daughters, Katherine Knott of Allen, Texas, Anna Knott of Chicago Ill.,

Crystal and Jeff Watson, and Tamatha Jelinek both of Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters Mina Knott Morgan of Galesburg and Margaret "Peg" and Dave Kidder of Chandler, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Charles Free, Brittany Phillips, Anneshia Watson, Tucker and Brick Palmgren, and Elizabeth Jelinek, several nieces and nephews and his best friend, Paul Fisher.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Brian loved his wife and daughters very dearly. Brian was a very proud father of four wonderful daughters and all their accomplishments. Brian enjoyed supporting his grandchildren and all their activities. He was an avid supporter of the Galesburg community. His storytelling and his humorous character will be deeply missed. Brian owned and operated Knott Music Company since 1982 until retiring in 2012. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1967. He graduated from Bailey Technical School in St Louis with an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #894, Moose Lodge #880. He also was a member of the Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post #285 and the Illinois Coin Operators Association. He was a member of the Coldbrook Christian Church.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Harbor Lights Hospice, Dr. Meeker and Dr. Boydstun.

A Celebration of Brian's Life will be 1:00pm Friday, April 12, 2013 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. Rick Warren will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the family to establish a memorial fund.
