Hoben, Thomas William
William Bill Thomas Hoben, 75, died at 2:05 p.m. Saturday March 30, 2013. He passed away in his home with his family surrounding him.

William was born on April 24th, 1937 in Galesburg. He was the son of Thomas H. and Dorothy W. Moore-Hoben. He married Caroline M. Pople on November 21, 1964 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg. She preceded him in death on April 13, 2009. William was also preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his children Barbara Kirchgessner of Knoxville, IL; Thomas (Jennifer L.) Hoben of Knoxville, IL: and William (Jennifer S.) Hoben of Fowler, IN. One brother Edward (Ida) Hoben of Knoxville, IL; one sister Mary (Frank) Yung of N. Henderson, IL; six grandchildren Cara (Phillip) Wolford of Galesburg, IL; Justin Hoben of Knoxville, IL; Kourtney and Kailey Senner of Knoxville, IL; John and Jacob Hoben of Fowler, IN; and one great grandson Preston Wolford of Galesburg, IL. He also has many surviving nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Knox County Farm Bureau, Orange township clerk, Fire Department trustee for 30+years, Orange Township election judge, Soil and Water Conservation District director 1974-1986, 4-H Leader 10+years.
He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family. He will be missed riding his Kabota to keep watch on the farm and his surrounding neighbors.

Funeral Mass will be held on at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg, Illinois. Father John Verrier officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes in Knoxville, Illinois. with Rosary Servicer at 8:00 P.M. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Galesburg, Illinois. Fellowship will be at the Hurd-Hendricks Fellowship Center in Knoxville, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Hoben Memorial Fund.
