|Everett Lindsey, 81, died at 3:03 PM on Friday, April 5, 2013. He passed away at his home.
Everett was born on May 11, 1931 in Barren County, Kentucky. He was the son of John W. and Louise Oller Lindsey. He married Nancy Decker on April 13, 1963 at the Methodist Church in Kewanee, Illinois.
He is survived by two sons, Michael (Sheri) Lindsey of Geneseo, Illinois and Steven (Susan) Lindsey of Knoxville, Illinois, to whom he was totally devoted. Also surviving are one sister, Barbara Talbot of Kewanee, Illinois, two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren, two nephews and three nieces. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother and one half-brother.
He retired from John Deere in Moline and was a member of the UAW Local 474. He worked doing commercial and residential building maintenance for over ten years. He was also an avid gardener and craftsman.
Cremation Rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes Fellowship Center in Knoxville, Illinois.
