Larry W. Sargeant, 75, 1145 Frank St., Galesburg, died at 11:13 a.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010 in Galesburg Terrace.
He was born December 1, 1934 in Galesburg the son of Kenneth L. and Delilah M. Wade Sargeant, Sr. He married Vonda Garrison.
He is survived by seven children, Dale, Gary, Randy, Steven, Mark, Bambi, and Rebecca, brothers, Delbert of Altona and Michael, Jim, Rick, and Clyde, all of Galesburg, sisters, Lois (and Robert) Condreay of Galesburg, Janice (and Albert) Westfall of Henderson, and Linda (and Roger) Thurman of Knoxville, and a sister-in-law, Lucy Sargeant of Altona. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Robert, Edward, Kenneth, Jr., and John.
Larry worked a variety of jobs, including driving a taxi cab for many years. He served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed playing bingo.
Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Captain Rick Ray will officiate. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com. |
